Teresa Roche is a self-taught, mixed media artist working in acrylic, watercolor, charcoal, oil pastels, and collage. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance from Columbia College, Columbia, SC. Roche works out of her gallery-studio in Greenville, SC. Greatly inspired by memory and nostalgia, Roche retells her own stories through her artistic process. She often builds up layers of paint and then scratches and sands back into the surface, unearthing the past, which is then transformed into a new, abstracted story.
